PROJECT TEAMS

Every project is a team endeavor, drawing on the expertise of a range of contributors. These include:

• The client, who has expertise in the needs of their family, their organization, or the population they serve.

• The design team. In addition to the architect, this may encompass a range of consultants and engineers, each of them an expert in some aspect of the site or building.

• Staff of government agencies, including planners, building plan checkers, and inspectors. These are experts in the regulations that the project must follow, who look out for the safety of the building's users and neighbors, as well as the larger interests of the community.

• The general contractor and their subcontractors, experts in the many trades necessary to transform the approved design into a physical space, and masters of the logistics that make the whole building sequence work.

Collaboration and communication are central to every project. When we are dedicated to listening to and learning from each other, we can accomplish more than we thought possible.

COLLABORATIONS

We also collaborate with other design firms, who have leveraged our expertise in housing, accessibility, and master planning. Our contribution can take the form of a peer review, ongoing consultation, or joint venture.
